I hope that you will agree to help send women living in war-ravaged Somalia to college.

Two years ago, a number of Somali women were recruited into the journalism program at Puntland State University in Somalia. Unfortunately, after a few months, virtually all the women were forced to drop out because they could not afford tuition. For each $1,000 that is raised, a Somali woman will be able to attend classes for an entire year at one of six Somali universities.

Funds I raise will be given to the U.S. Committee for the UN Development Program (UNDP-USA). UNDP-USA will aggregate donations made here in the United States and grant them to the United Nations in Somalia, who administer this exciting and worthwhile scholarship program.
